It is perhaps not an obvious choice for publicity, advertising aircraft. We think of radio spots, newspaper advertisements, and - if our budget is important - billboards. We do often the aircraft of publicity, but we should do it. Airplane advertising has many advantages over traditional advertising which makes it ideal, if obvious choice, for the use of the advertising dollar. Let's look at a few.
First, aerial advertising is relatively inexpensive compared with other forms of advertising. You can not look just at the dollar, but the audience reached. So when you place an advertisement in the newspapers, you consider the traffic. Well, you say, this newspaper has a circulation of 100000, with the result that many people will see my ad.
Not so fast.
Contrary to advertising airplane, and not everybody who reads the paper will see your ad. In other words, if the advertising is placed in the local section of the paper, your ad will be viewed by people who read this section (some might only read the front page and sports, while others can only read classifieds).
Once people read "your" article, there is no guarantee that they will read the ad that you want to teach them to read. Many people do not read the ads at all.
How is advertising different plane? It is different in many respects. For example, you do not ask potential customers to see your ad, you make sure they do. You do not wonder whether they have read the message from the air, you know they do. You do not even have to wonder if they remember advertising - studies show they do, when it is sent to them via the banner towing.
Plane messages are the ideal form of advertising because advertisers do not have to wonder if their ad has been seen, they do not have to worry that it has not been read and it is certainly no wonder if it is remembered.
Aerial advertising has almost 100% "seen" rate, in the sense that most people will look skyward when they are greeted with a certain commercial plane in the air. The majority of people who see and read the advertisements will also remember them, so advertisers can be assured that their ads are not only seen, they remember.
It's also unique that advertisers do not have to worry, they invade their potential customer that the spaces. That is, there are no advertisements to be placed on car windows (which has just received the throw), not to invade shows on television and no billboard for distracted driving. While on the beach or enjoy a music festival, the potential customer has only to look to the sky to get the message.
Better yet, they remember the ad because it is new and creative. They do not feel as if their lives were invaded. Certainly, if they want to ignore the banner, they can drive on the beach or not to seek the music festival activities, but since most people report a positive response to banner ads, it is safe to assume Most are not going to do it.
Why are the banners? Because it works. Your aerial advertising has a greater chance of reaching the target audience, more than any other form of advertising.
